The group reaches record revenue of €727 million, representing 9.5% growth compared with the previous year

Meat products remain the main business driver, with sliced cooked ham particularly prominent, where the company has reached a 23.9% share of the domestic market, consolidating itself as the sector’s fastest-growing manufacturer

Internationalisation remains a strategic pillar and exports already account for approximately 50% of total revenue

During the last financial year, the company invested €28.3 million in structural, operational, technological and environmental improvements

Noel, one of the leading food groups both nationally and internationally, headquartered in Sant Joan les Fonts, Girona, closed the 2025 financial year reaffirming its strength within the agri-food sector, posting record turnover of €727 million and a production volume of 134,848 tonnes, representing increases of 9.48% and 6% respectively compared with the previous year. These results confirm the success of the company’s strategy, based on the strength of its meat division — the main pillar of its economic activity — combined with a clear commitment to innovation and diversification into other food categories, as well as a firm international vision.

In the words of Albert Boix, co-CEO of Noel, “2025 was a year in which we continued to consolidate our business model, resulting in an excellent performance from the meat division, the engine of our business, as well as growth in foreign markets, which now account for approximately half of our turnover”. Xavier Boix, also co-CEO, adds that “based on a philosophy of constant innovation and with an eye on the future, we continue to drive strategic diversification projects to develop new food categories and bring them to the whole world”.

Founded in 1940, the company’s roots lie in a small butcher’s shop in Olot and, since then, it has never stopped growing with a clear purpose: to sustainably promote the development of people through food. Today, Noel remains one of the leading names in the agri-food sector, led by the fourth generation of the Boix-Bosch family, with a workforce of around 3,000 employees, 16 production centres across Spain and operations in more than 60 countries.

Leaders in the meat sector and international presence

The meat division continues to represent the group’s core business, with special relevance in cooked products, where it has continued to grow in the domestic market, reaching a sliced cooked ham share of 23.9% in 2025, up from the 22.7% achieved the previous year. This leadership is also reflected in consumer trust: according to the recent Brand Footprint 2025 report — the sector’s leading study based on household purchasing habits, produced by the consultancy Worldpanel by Numerator (Kantar) — Noel ranks within the Top 50 most-chosen FMCG brands in Spain, specifically in 32nd position, moving up six places from the previous year.

In geographical terms, Spain continues to lead the company’s sales with turnover of €380 million, a 10.1% increase over 2024. In parallel, the company is strongly reaffirming its global expansion strategy and, currently, exports already generate approximately 50% of total revenue, with the European market playing a key strategic role in this international drive.

Investment with a vision for the future

To support and consolidate the development of its activity, Noel has allocated a total of €28.3 million to various projects aimed at boosting its production capacity, optimising operational processes and taking a significant step forward in digitalisation and sustainability.

Among the main investments are an automated line to produce new snacking formats presented in pots, and equipment for environmental management such as the construction of two new water treatment plants — one at the group’s main plant in Sant Joan les Fonts and the other at El Cierzo, the cured-meats plant the company operates in Teruel.

Furthermore, this long-term outlook has been directly complemented by investments in research, development and innovation (R&D&i), and by the rollout of Industry 4.0 technologies across Noel’s various production plants. One example is the digitalisation project at the cutting plant in Olot, aimed at moving towards a system that enables integrated process management, greater product traceability and real-time data access, for faster and more accurate decision-making.

Finally, this year’s growth has been reinforced through key inorganic operations, such as taking a stake in the Ávila-based family firm Garrudo Benito — a strategic step to strengthen the group’s presence in the premium Iberian ham and cured-meats segment — or the acquisition of Ramadera Welfare, a company dedicated to pig breeding and fattening, through which the company continues to expand its presence in the primary sector, thereby guaranteeing full traceability and the highest standards of nutrition, genetics and animal welfare, from the outset.

Business diversification

In parallel, Noel has continued to strongly drive its strategy to establish itself in new food categories. Together, these business divisions generated total turnover of €70.2 million during 2025, a 96.7% increase compared with the 2024 financial year. This commitment is particularly marked by the contribution of investee companies such as Tap Tap Food and The Juicy Group, focused on creams, gazpachos and sauces, and cold-pressed vegetable juices respectively; as well as, in the ready-meals sphere, Global Art Cooking, the company set up with renowned Catalan chef Nandu Jubany and focused on manufacturing premium croquettes and cannelloni.

In this regard, the company has made an additional investment effort in diversification projects, allocating €16 million mainly to two major operations: on the one hand, the launch of a new Global Art Cooking plant in Vic and, on the other, the expansion of Tap Tap Food’s facilities in Sant Joan les Fonts — Spain’s leader in the manufacture of refrigerated vegetable creams — which will allow it to triple production of creams and sauces to respond, above all, to strong demand from international markets.

A model centred on people, the environment and society

With more than eight decades of history, Noel reaffirms its commitment to leadership guided by responsible and sustainable growth. This is a commitment inherited from the family legacy, which has always safeguarded a corporate culture founded on values such as quality and food safety, innovation, proximity, commitment and passion. Along these lines, the company structures its sustainability strategy around three main pillars: people, the environment and social contribution, with the firm aim of generating a positive impact across the entire value chain.

In the area of people, the company works to foster a safe, inclusive working environment that encourages both the professional and personal growth of its teams. Among the most notable milestones of this latest financial year are obtaining the Verified Pay Gap certificate from AENOR, which certifies pay equity and equal opportunities between men and women; the opening of La Cantina, a corporate restaurant designed to offer balanced menus prioritising local products to employees, thereby promoting their wellbeing in the workplace; and the Great Place to Work recognition, which consolidates the company as an environment of workplace excellence based on the high degree of trust and satisfaction of the people who are part of it.

Regarding the environment, concrete measures have been driven to minimise the impact of its activity on the surroundings. One of the most important milestones achieved has been reducing water consumption per tonne of product produced by more than 25% over the 2020–2025 period. As for the application of eco-design criteria, over the past five years the company has managed to eliminate 329 tonnes of plastic from the market, and now uses 50% recycled plastic in its packaging. In addition, the company continues to work on reducing its carbon footprint and adopting renewable energy, notably achieving a 6.7% reduction in energy consumed per tonne produced, as well as joining the Lean & Green project — a European initiative promoted in Spain by AECOC to encourage more sustainable logistics — through which it has committed to reducing its emissions by 20% over five years.

Regarding social action, Noel continues to promote its commitment to the community, mainly through the work of its two foundations. First, the Albert Bosch Foundation, which promotes research and the search for medical and surgical solutions for cancer, especially childhood cancer, and which over its twenty-year history has allocated more than €2.3 million to various research projects in this field. During 2025, the foundation reached a key milestone with the completion and inauguration of its ambitious “Realitat millorada” (Enhanced Reality) project, which enabled the comprehensive refurbishment of the Paediatric Oncohaematology Area at the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona — a project with a total budget of €7.4 million, achieved in collaboration with the Aladina and Small foundations. Looking to the future, the entity has already launched its next major challenge, the “El fitxatge que ens falta” project, aimed at creating a new high-performance research unit at the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) to accelerate the development of new drugs for paediatric cancer patients.

On the other hand, the Maria Rosa Sans Foundation supports talented young people from La Garrotxa through grants that enable them to access and pursue university studies, without financial factors being an obstacle.

Finally, in 2025 Noel was also involved in a total of 205 initiatives, both cultural and sporting, across the region. This firm social commitment has been recognised with the Espiga Trophy, awarded by the Farinera Girona Foundation to companies that integrate social responsibility into their activity; and the Mercè Sala award, granted by the Factor Humà Foundation, which recognises companies that promote a growth model combining commitment to people, innovation, professionalisation, roots in the local area and social return.

Noel has taken part in OXICOOK, an innovative pilot project to reduce food waste. Waste does not always begin when a product reaches its use-by date: it often starts much earlier, on retail shelves, when food that is perfectly fit for consumption is withdrawn because it does not look the way shoppers expect. In sliced, packaged cooked meat products, colour is a decisive factor: a slight discolouration can be enough for a consumer to reject the product, generating economic, food-related and environmental losses.

OXICOOK, now completed, worked to understand and minimise the causes of colour loss in these products during distribution and retail display. We took part as a cooked meat producer, contributing our experience to address a challenge shared across the whole sector. You can find all the details and results of the project on the Packaging Cluster website.

The project showed that discolouration is not down to a single cause, but to a combination of factors interacting across the entire value chain. Building on this diagnosis, combined strategies were developed based on the use of high-barrier packaging, control of oxygen availability, optimised lighting at points of sale and management of the product’s display time.

One of OXICOOK’s greatest strengths has been its collaborative nature. The project was driven by a multi-sector consortium bringing together cooked meat producers, manufacturers of packaging materials and machinery, distribution companies, research centres and sector bodies. The Operational Group behind it was led by CARINSA and coordinated by the Packaging Cluster and, alongside Noel, involved the companies La Selva, Monells, Enplater, TPL, Kao Chimigraf, ULMA, Bonpreu Esclat and Ametller Origen, as well as IRTA as a research centre and the collaboration of MULTIVAC, FECIC and Hispack.

With this initiative we reaffirm our commitment to a more efficient, sustainable and responsible food model, in which technological innovation and industrial collaboration make it possible to reduce avoidable losses and improve the use of resources. This innovative pilot project is co-financed by the European Union, as an operational group of the European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability (EIP-AGRI), within the framework of the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027, with grants promoted by the Departament d’Agricultura, Ramaderia i Pesca of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Noel joins the La Vuelta family as an Official Sponsor

The food group based in La Garrotxa (Girona) will have its brand present on the race bibs

Noel Alimentaria and Unipublic have signed an agreement that makes the brand an Official Sponsor of La Vuelta. The collaboration was formalised at Noel Alimentaria’s facilities in Sant Joan les Fonts (Girona), at an event attended by Javier Guillén, general director of La Vuelta; Joan Boix, president of Noel; María Sánchez, corporate marketing director of Noel, among other representatives from both organisations. Through this alliance, Noel will be present on the riders’ bibs and will strengthen its visibility along the route through the arch located eight kilometres from the finish line, as well as forming part of the advertising caravan.

With this agreement, Noel Alimentaria reinforces its commitment to sport as a vehicle for promoting healthy lifestyle habits and connecting with a broad and diverse audience. The alliance is part of both organisations’ desire to promote these habits and bring the values of effort and self-improvement closer to the public, values that are present both in the competition and in people’s daily lives. For Noel, this link with sport, and especially with cycling, forms part of its long-standing history, as it has sponsored Club Infantil Ciclista Olot for more than four decades, as well as Club Ciclista Bas, which organises the annual “La Remences” cycle tourism ride, a benchmark initiative in road cycling.

In the words of Maria Sánchez, corporate marketing director of Noel, “at Noel we understand that food and sport are two fundamental pillars for promoting a healthy lifestyle. That is why we are especially excited to join La Vuelta, one of the most emblematic sports competitions in our country and an international benchmark that inspires millions of people. We share values such as effort, perseverance, self-improvement and commitment, principles that form part of both the spirit of the race and the way we work every day to offer quality products to our consumers”.

Javier Guillén, general director of La Vuelta, highlighted that “the incorporation of Noel Alimentaria as an Official Sponsor reinforces La Vuelta’s ability to continue adding strategic allies who share our values and our way of understanding sport. Its presence on the cyclists’ bibs symbolises a natural union with a race that is experienced through closeness, effort and commitment to the fans”.

During the competition period, Noel will launch various promotional actions linked to La Vuelta. These include activations at points of sale located in towns close to the race route, as well as a promotion aimed at consumers of Delizias, its most emblematic range of sliced charcuterie, whose products will feature a limited-edition La Vuelta packaging design. By purchasing products from the brand, participants will be able to enter the draw for a daily smartwatch and a bicycle as the final prize.

Noel, committed to the region, sport and culture

The collaboration agreement with La Vuelta is part of Noel’s long-standing commitment to society, a vocation reflected in its close connection with the associative, sporting and cultural fabric of its environment. The company is involved in and promotes multiple initiatives through sponsorships and collaborations with leading organisations and projects in the region.

In the field of sport, Noel collaborates with organisations such as Bàsquet Girona and UE Olot, while in the cultural sphere, the company has sponsored Festivalot and Festival Vallviva for more than a decade, among other projects.

This involvement reflects Noel’s desire to generate a positive impact beyond its business activity, contributing to the strengthening of the region and supporting initiatives that foster wellbeing and social cohesion.

On 2 July, we celebrated a new recognition for “El fichaje que nos falta”, the Fundació Albert Bosch campaign, which received a bronze Impacte Award in the Corporate Communication Impact category. This award recognises an initiative that combines creativity, strategy and innovation to connect with people and generate a positive impact on society.

The Impacte Awards, organised by the Official College of Marketing and Communication of Catalonia, recognise the most outstanding projects in the fields of marketing, communication, advertising and public relations. The award highlights our campaign’s ability to raise awareness of the importance of continuing to advance childhood cancer research and to gather support for the creation of a new unit at the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute, aimed at accelerating the development of new drugs to treat this disease.

Created by Havas Creative Spain and promoted by the Fundació Albert Bosch, “El fichaje que nos falta” invites us to join forces in response to this major collective challenge. We can watch the campaign advert again, discover Biel’s video with Girona FC and learn more about the initiative at El fichaje que nos falta. We collected the award alongside representatives from Noel’s and Havas’s Communication and Marketing teams, whose commitment and involvement have been essential in making this initiative possible.

We are grateful for this recognition and congratulate the other award-winning projects in the category: “Cómo sobrevivir a una OPA hostil”, by Oriol Villar, Dentsu X and Banco Sabadell, which received the gold award, and “El Pacto”, by La Casa de Carlota and L’Oréal Groupe, which also received a bronze award. This recognition is the result of the shared efforts of everyone who has helped drive the campaign forward. Congratulations to the entire team.

The company, which is 50% owned by the Noel Alimentaria group, has consolidated its strong growth compared with 2024 and expects to maintain this upward trend throughout 2026.

At the same time, Tap Tap Food has completed the expansion of its factory in Sant Joan les Fonts following an overall investment of €7 million. The project includes a new highly automated production line that will enable the company to triple its output.

These milestones consolidate the company’s position as Spain’s leading manufacturer of chilled vegetable soups and support its expansion into international markets such as the United Kingdom and Japan.

Tap Tap Food, a company that is 50% owned by Noel Alimentaria and specialises in the production of vegetable soups, gazpachos, broths, sauces and dressings, closed the 2025 financial year with turnover of €14 million and a production volume of 5,010 tonnes. These figures represent increases of 40% and 35%, respectively, compared with the previous year. The company expects to maintain this upward trend throughout 2026. These positive results coincide with the completion of the expansion work at its Sant Joan les Fonts facility.

Backed by an investment of €7 million, the project has increased the production facility’s total floor space from 3,340 m² to 4,344 m². From an operational perspective, the main development has been the installation of a new highly automated production line. This is enabling the company to progressively triple its production rate for soups and sauces, increasing weekly output from 120 tonnes to a forecast 300 tonnes by 2027.

According to Julià Riera, Managing Director of Tap Tap Food, “The sustained growth achieved over recent years has enabled us to consolidate our leadership in the chilled vegetable soup segment and strengthen our international presence. These positive results confirm that we are on the right path and encourage us to continue investing in innovation, production capacity and the development of new markets.”

— Market leadership in Spain and global expansion

The new production line has strengthened Tap Tap Food’s ability to respond to growing market demand and consolidate its position as Spain’s leading producer and distributor of chilled vegetable soups.

This growth is being driven by the rise of ready-to-eat products, a category that is becoming increasingly prominent in consumer habits. Tap Tap Food’s products respond to the demand for practical and healthy solutions made with fresh ingredients. They are designed for consumers who want to save time without compromising on nutritional quality.

This successful formula, combining innovation, convenience and nutritional quality, has also supported the company’s international expansion. Tap Tap Food already sells its products in markets including the United Kingdom —where the company exported 145 tonnes of fresh gazpacho in 2025— as well as Portugal, Denmark, France, Italy, Japan and Mexico.

— Commitment to sustainability

In line with its commitment to responsible production, the Sant Joan les Fonts facility has been designed according to strict environmental sustainability criteria. In terms of production, the facility incorporates water recovery systems with automated controls to minimise consumption, as well as LED lighting and high-efficiency equipment.

The company is also implementing a comprehensive project to combat food waste, ranging from donations to food banks to research into new ways of recovering and reusing vegetable waste. These measures are complemented by a self-consumption energy model, as Tap Tap Food uses the steam and hot water generated by Noel’s cogeneration plant. This contributes to improving the facility’s energy efficiency and, consequently, reducing the associated CO₂ emissions.

Last Thursday, 18 June, we took part in a new session of the Sant Joan les Fonts, Begudà and la Canya Business Forum, held at the Begudà Civic Centre. The event included a visit to the wastewater treatment plant and the Begudà wetlands, where we learned about a project that combines technological innovation, responsible water management and biodiversity conservation.

The meeting brought together representatives from Sarval, Torraspapel —Lecta Group—, 3deTècnics, Emili Plantalech, SIGMA, Veolia, Sant Joan les Fonts Town Council and DinàmiG. Noel was represented by Francesc Pou, Environmental Manager; Víctor Llosa, Sustainability Technician; and Gaspar Viladegut, General Services Director. This collaboration between public authorities, companies and organisations is essential to manage the high industrial load received by the plant and ensure demanding environmental standards.

— Green infrastructure serving the local area

The treatment plant has a modular system and biological reactors that allow the treatment process to be adapted to the needs of industrial activity. During periods of drought, treated water can account for up to 90% of the flow of the River Toronell. In addition, sludge management follows circular economy principles, as it is reused in agriculture and environmental restoration projects.

The wetlands act as an additional natural treatment system, improving water quality and supporting habitat recovery. The ecological management promoted through the Biobserva programme has also enabled the creation of shelters for amphibians, birds and bats, including some endangered species. This visit allowed us to see how industrial activity and environmental protection can progress together and generate a positive impact on water, biodiversity and the resilience of the local area.

Yesterday, we received the 2026 Mercè Sala Award, the highest distinction presented at the Fundació Factor Humà Awards, during a ceremony held at the Museu Marítim-Drassanes in Barcelona. The event brought together more than 450 executives and professionals from Catalan and multinational companies. This award recognises not only Noel’s business results but, above all, a people management model based on stability, development, proximity and commitment to the local community.

The 2026 Impacta Awards were also presented during the event. The project “Innovating in People Management: a model based on expert units and bridging roles”, by Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona, received first prize. It was followed in second place by the “Flexible working model” developed by the Fundació Pasqual Maragall and, in third place, by the project “Horizon 2025: a shared vision” by Grup Bon Preu.

Under the slogan “Want to make an impact? Go viral for a cause”, the ceremony invited us to reflect on the role of influence within organisations and on how it can be exercised responsibly, consistently and with purpose.

— Recognition of our growth model

We were founded in Olot in 1940, our headquarters are located in Sant Joan les Fonts and we are present in more than 60 countries. Yesterday, we received the 2026 Mercè Sala Award in front of more than 450 professionals from Catalan and multinational companies gathered at the Museu Marítim-Drassanes in Barcelona.

The jury of the Factor Humà Awards, comprising representatives of organisations belonging to the Fundació and leading professionals from the business, institutional, academic and people management fields, recognised our track record and evolution. We have grown from a small artisan charcuterie workshop into one of Spain’s leading food groups, with a turnover of €664 million in 2024, while maintaining our strong local roots and family business culture. The company is currently led by the fourth generation.

Through this award, which recognises organisations aligned with the values of a human-centred approach, innovation and global vision, the jury sought to highlight our growth model, based on our commitment to people, professionalisation, product diversification, internationalisation, technological innovation and social contribution.

According to Anna Bosch, President of Noel Alimentaria, the award “recognises a way of understanding business that forms part of our identity: growing without losing our roots, innovating to become more competitive and sustainable, and maintaining a genuine commitment to people and the local community. At Noel, we have always believed in the importance of giving back to society part of what it gives us. We are a family business with more than 85 years of history, but we are also an organisation that looks to the future and seeks to generate a positive impact beyond its business activity.”

— One of the leading employers in La Garrotxa

Our team comprises more than 2,700 people, and we are one of the main economic and social driving forces in La Garrotxa, Girona. A total of 98% of our employees have permanent contracts, while 100% of our workforce is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. This forms part of a people management model focused on stability, professional development and proximity.

In the area of talent development, we have created Noel Academy, our internal training academy. In 2024, it enabled us to provide more than 55,000 hours of training to over 1,700 people, with an investment exceeding €1.4 million. We have also developed internal communication tools such as Noel One, opportunities for dialogue with management and wellbeing initiatives such as La Cantina, our corporate dining space, as well as adapting collective transport services to employees’ working shifts.

Diversity is another defining feature of our model. Our team includes people of up to 51 nationalities, and women represent 42% of our workforce. We also have active equality and inclusion protocols, and 100% of our management team has received training in equality and diversity.

In 2026, we received Great Place to Work certification, reinforcing our position as a leading employer. We have also obtained the “Verified Gender Pay Gap” certification awarded by AENOR, which confirms that we effectively apply the principle of equal pay for women and men and that there are no gender-based salary differences.

— People, innovation, sustainability and social commitment

More than 2,700 people, 55,000 hours of training and a strategic commitment to technological innovation, sustainability and social responsibility reflect our approach to growth.

We have positioned innovation as one of the main drivers of our model. We promote projects focused on the automation of production lines, the implementation of digital sensors and the digitalisation of processes, with the aim of improving the efficiency, traceability and quality of our products.

This strategy is complemented by the development of new preservative-free products, the promotion of more sustainable packaging and collaboration with technology centres, universities and European programmes. We also work to reduce the environmental impact of our operations through measures related to energy efficiency, water management, waste treatment and the incorporation of sustainability criteria throughout the value chain.

Giving back to the local community is another of the pillars that contributed to this recognition. Through the Fundació Albert Bosch, we promote research into medical, biomedical and surgical solutions for different diseases, particularly childhood cancer, in close collaboration with Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona.

Through the Fundació Maria Rosa Sans, we provide scholarships to enable young people from La Garrotxa with strong academic abilities but limited financial resources to pursue university studies. Through both foundations, we extend our social commitment beyond our business activity.

— A ceremony focused on responsible influence

The ceremony, hosted by Catalunya Ràdio and 3Cat journalist Elisenda Carod, reflected on organisations’ ability to mobilise people and generate impact through consistency, purpose and responsibility.

During the event, José Miguel de la Dehesa, Director of the Fundació Factor Humà, presented “Human Horizon”, an initiative aimed at promoting more human-centred organisations, as well as the study “Human Horizon: the state of humanisation in organisations in 2026”. The ceremony also featured institutional representatives and a talk by David Aguilar, known as “Hand Solo”, an international figure in innovation and personal achievement.

Dr Antoni Esteve, President of the Fundació Factor Humà, closed the event by highlighting the importance of generating knowledge, building partnerships and moving towards more human, responsible and sustainable organisations. The ceremony concluded with several performances by Beat & Loop Show and a networking event in the gardens of the Museu Marítim-Drassanes in Barcelona.

As a result of its firm commitment to promoting a more responsible, innovative and sustainable business model, and as a company adhered to the United Nations Global Compact, Noel is one of the 29 companies participating in ImPacto Sectorial, the new project promoted by the UN in Spain that aims to accelerate the sustainable transformation of the agri-food industry and move forward, in a coordinated manner, towards a more competitive and resilient model. Noel will thus take part in this specialised technical support programme, which was created with the aim of generating spaces for collaboration between leading companies in a strategic sector for the Spanish economy.

The agri-food sector, which represents around 9% of GDP and 11.3% of employment in Spain, is currently facing major challenges such as the efficient management of water, the reduction of food waste and the decrease of CO₂ emissions. To respond to these challenges, the ImPacto Sectorial programme will channel the collective action of the participating companies through a one-year roadmap that combines group sessions and expert advice, facilitating the creation of replicable solutions that bring value to the entire value chain.

For Noel, being part of this ecosystem of joint work reinforces its purpose of sustainably promoting people’s development through food. As Jordi Port, Corporate Director of Communication and Sustainability at Noel, states, “the major environmental challenges facing the agri-food sector cannot be addressed individually. Initiatives such as ImPacto Sectorial are an opportunity to bring together knowledge, share experiences and promote solutions that generate a positive and real impact across the entire value chain. At Noel, we want to be an active part of this transformation.”

Environmental commitment with tangible results

Joining the ImPacto Sectorial project is part of Noel’s sustainability strategy, structured around the pillars of environment, people and society, and aimed at achieving the Net Zero 2050 goal.

In the environmental field, Noel promotes concrete and measurable actions to reduce the impact of its activity and move towards a more efficient and sustainable production model. One of the most outstanding milestones achieved in recent years has been the 25% reduction in water consumption per tonne produced over a five-year period, a demonstration of the company’s commitment to the responsible management of natural resources.

This commitment is also reflected in its ecodesign strategy and the improvement of packaging. Over the last five years, Noel has managed to eliminate 329 tonnes of plastic from the market thanks to the reduction of film thicknesses and the incorporation of sustainability criteria throughout the life cycle of its products. At the same time, the company has significantly increased the use of post-consumer recycled plastic in primary packaging, which now represents approximately 50% of the total plastic material used.

These advances are complemented by the recovery of 88% of the waste generated, moving towards the goal of zero waste to landfill.

In addition, the company continues to work on reducing its carbon footprint and adopting renewable energies in order to move towards more efficient and environmentally friendly production.

Adhered to the Global Compact

The Global Compact, promoter of the ImPacto Sectorial project, is an international initiative promoted by the UN, which encourages companies to integrate ten universal principles into their activity in the areas of human rights, labour standards, the environment and the fight against corruption. In this regard, adherence to the Global Compact becomes a guide that steers daily decisions and operations, ensuring that business growth goes hand in hand with respect for ethical, social and environmental values, thus consolidating the will to generate a positive and lasting impact on the environment. Noel first adhered to the United Nations Global Compact in 2013, thereby expressing its commitment to a responsible and sustainable management model.

This 5 June, we celebrate World Environment Day, a moment that invites us to reflect on the role we play, as individuals and as a company, in protecting the planet. The official World Environment Day campaign reminds us of the importance of taking action in every area to move towards a more responsible and sustainable future.

At Noel, this commitment is part of the way we understand development: growing by creating shared value, with people, the region and the environment always in mind. That is why we continue to promote actions that help us reduce the environmental impact of our activity, optimise the use of resources and move towards a more efficient model that respects our surroundings.

To mark this occasion, we have prepared a World Environment Day video to highlight one of the actions we are carrying out on this journey: the generation of photovoltaic energy. This commitment allows us to make use of a renewable energy source, reduce our dependence on other resources and continue moving towards a more sustainable energy model.

Every step counts. So do the small gestures we incorporate into our daily lives. Because caring for the planet is a shared commitment, and at Noel we want to keep joining forces to build a greener, more responsible future that is more closely aligned with our purpose.
