The Maria Rosa Sans Foundation, promoted by the Boix family and linked to Noel Alimentaria, has released its 2024 annual report. This edition reaffirms its commitment to transparency and equal opportunities. Once again, the foundation has worked to ensure that no talented young person from La Garrotxa is left without access to university studies for financial reasons.

— A call that continues to grow

In 2024, the seventh scholarship call was held, aimed at students in their final year of secondary education and higher vocational training. A total of 11 applications were received, 4 new scholarships were granted and 11 from previous calls were renewed, with a total contribution of 44,000 euros. The new scholarship recipients —Fatoumata Jawara, Hawa Fofana, Akashdeep Singh and Pol Espuche— are pursuing university degrees at institutions across Spain and also benefit from the support of mentors linked to the foundation, who guide them through their academic and professional journey.

— A project with real impact

Since its creation in 2018, the foundation has awarded scholarships to 20 young people, with a total investment of 166,250 euros. In addition, since 2022, seven students have been able to carry out paid internships thanks to summer contracts managed with the support of Noel Alimentaria. These initiatives reflect our way of understanding commitment to people and to the local community.

— A recognition of a legacy

Last September, Noel Academy hosted the scholarship award ceremony, attended by Joan and Tomàs Boix, president and vice-president of the foundation, together with the students’ families. The year 2024 was also marked by a particularly emotional moment: the opening speech of the Sant Feliu de Pallerols local festival, delivered by Joan Boix Sans, who honoured the memory of his mother, Maria Rosa Sans Tintó, and highlighted the deep connection between the foundation and its community of origin.
