This week the Fundació Albert Bosch, an initiative of Noel Alimentaria, received two consecutive accolades linked to its work in the fight against childhood cancer: the CaixaBank Wealth Management Philanthropy Award and, a few days later, a betevé Award for the area of the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital that the Foundation is helping to transform.

— Recognition for impact
On 15 September, CaixaBank Wealth Management honoured the Fundació Albert Bosch with one of its Philanthropy Awards, in the ninth edition of these awards, which recognise initiatives with a positive social impact. The award highlights the project «El fitxatge que ens falta», which aims to create a pioneering paediatric oncology research unit at the Vall d’Hebron Institut de Recerca (VHIR), to speed up the development of new drugs for paediatric oncology patients.

The award was presented that same evening, at an event held in Girona, with the participation of Josep Mª González, CaixaBank’s territorial director for Catalonia; Virginia Pueyo, territorial commercial director for Catalonia at CaixaBank Wealth Management; Anna Bosch, president of the Fundació Albert Bosch; and Cristina Sanz, director of the Fundació Albert Bosch.

— Award for commitment to childhood cancer care
On 17 September, the new Paediatric and Adolescent Oncohaematology Area at the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital received the Generalitat de Catalunya Education and Parenting Award, at the 2nd betevé Awards Gala. This is precisely the area that the Fundació Albert Bosch is helping to transform through the project «Realitat Millorada», run jointly with the Fundació Aladina and the Fundació Small. The project, which covers 2,646 m², includes hospital classrooms, adapted playrooms and spaces for families, with the aim of making the hospital environment more humane for children and adolescents with cancer during long-term treatment.

The gala was held that evening, in the Foyer of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, in Barcelona. Dr Albert Salazar Soler, manager of the Vall d’Hebron University Hospital, collected the award, accompanied by Anna Bosch Güell, president of the Fundació Albert Bosch, Joan Boix Sans, secretary of the Fundació Albert Bosch (representing Noel Alimentaria, SAU), and representatives of the Fundació Small.

From Noel and the Fundació Albert Bosch, we sincerely thank you for these two recognitions.
