● The agreement, signed by both companies, aims to provide new exclusive timetables for employees of the food group in la Garrotxa
● The service will connect Olot with the Pla de Begudà industrial estate, offering an alternative to private transport for staff at the company’s five workplaces in the area
Noel Alimentaria has signed a collaboration agreement with TEISA, the leading transport company in la Garrotxa, to introduce new bus timetables designed to improve the daily commuting of its employees, promoting more comfortable, accessible, sustainable and safe mobility.
The service, which connects Olot with the Pla de Begudà industrial estate, is tailored to the shift requirements of the five production plants operated by Noel at this location, including its headquarters. Together, these sites employ around one thousand people, out of a total workforce of more than 2,600.
The first journey of the day will depart from La Solfa at 5:00 am, stopping at Parc Pequín, Ambulatori, Plaça Catalunya, Hospital, Olot Estació, Sant Miquel, Les Tries, Sant Cosme and the Pla de Begudà industrial estate. The final service will depart at 10:35 pm from the Pla de Begudà industrial estate and will run the route in reverse. These new frequencies complement TEISA’s existing Olot–Pla de Begudà Industrial Estate line, operating under the same public transport timetable: from Monday to Friday on working days. To use the new service, employees must hold a specific Noel transport card, available at a cost of €20 per month.
The agreement, which came into force on 9 December as part of a pilot implementation process and will be fully consolidated from 2026, was formally signed this morning at Noel’s headquarters. The event was attended by Albert Sanantón, Corporate Director of People at the food group, and Àlex Gilabert, Director and General Manager of TEISA, along with other representatives from both organisations.
“At Noel, we put people first. This agreement with TEISA is another step towards making our employees’ daily lives easier by providing safer and more convenient access to our workplaces,” said Sanantón. For TEISA, the agreement reinforces its commitment to serving people and efficiently connecting la Garrotxa. “One of our goals is to facilitate everyday mobility for citizens and contribute to more sustainable transport. We are proud to collaborate with a leading company such as Noel and to offer a service that will meet the needs of hundreds of workers every day,” emphasised Àlex Gilabert, Director and General Manager of TEISA.
With this initiative, Noel strengthens its actions aimed at improving work–life balance for its employees, as set out in its Sustainability Strategy, in line with its commitment to promoting the wellbeing of the people who work for the company. It does so by offering real mobility alternatives that reduce reliance on private vehicles, enhance safety and reduce traffic, while also helping to improve environmental impact.
