At the same time, Noel has been certified by AENOR in Gender Pay Equality, becoming the first company in the meat sector in Catalonia to obtain this distinction.
Noel, a leading food group both nationally and internationally, has been recognized with the Great Place to Work certification, the prestigious global seal in people management and business strategy that accredits the company as an organization with a high-trust culture, capable of attracting and retaining talent.
To obtain this certification, Noel underwent an exhaustive evaluation that included a global survey among its workforce of more than 2,700 people, with the aim of measuring the trust index. The results were very positive, exceeding the required standards, with a participation rate of 78% and achieving 73% favorable ratings from employees.
This score confirms that the people who work at Noel positively evaluate key aspects such as the credibility of leaders, respect and pride of belonging, among others, and positions the company within the group of companies certified as excellent places to work in Spain. In the words of Albert Sanantón, Corporate Director of People at Noel, “obtaining the Great Place to Work certification is a milestone that makes us very proud, as it is a direct recognition from our team, our most valuable asset, and reflects Noel’s culture, based on trust and commitment to people.”
In line with continuing to build a positive work environment, Noel will implement a transversal process of participatory working groups that will cover all plants and departments of the organization, with the aim of fostering active listening to design and implement new action plans that strengthen employee wellbeing.
— A benchmark seal
Great Place to Work is the consulting firm that, for more than 30 years, has worked with companies around the world to identify, create and maintain high-trust, high-performance cultures. Its certification is the only official recognition based entirely on the opinion of employees and is grounded in a rigorous methodology.
The evaluation process is carried out through the Trust Index questionnaire, a confidential and voluntary tool that analyzes the employee experience through 60 statements. This model measures five key dimensions: management credibility, respect for people, fairness in treatment, as well as pride of belonging and camaraderie. To obtain the certification, it is essential that the overall trust index exceeds 65% positive responses, a threshold that Noel has surpassed by reaching 73%.
— Pioneers in equality in the meat sector
In addition to this seal, Noel started the year by obtaining a second recognition: the AENOR Verified Pay Gap certification. This certification accredits that the organization effectively applies the principle of equal pay between women and men, guaranteeing that there are no salary differences based on gender in its remuneration policy.
Through a rigorous external audit process, the certifying entity objectively and independently evaluates the organization’s salary structure, as well as the professional evaluation and classification systems linked to remuneration. With this recognition, Noel becomes the first company in the meat sector in Catalonia and the second in the entire Catalan territory to obtain this accreditation from AENOR.
In this way, it reaffirms its commitment and leadership in terms of equality, continuing the milestone achieved in 2022, when it was certified through ABS Quality Evaluations, an accreditation that it has maintained until now.
According to Sanantón, “this recognition is the best guarantee that our Equality Plan is an effective reality within the company. A Plan that guarantees that, at Noel, the only criteria that define salary and professional growth are the talent and merit of each person.”
The certification is framed within the strategy of responsible people management and equal opportunities. In this regard, Noel will soon begin the process of renewing its already registered Equality Plan, with the aim of updating and expanding it into a new Equality and Diversity Plan that incorporates a more transversal vision of diversity within the organization.
Overall, these certifications consolidate Noel’s Sustainability Strategy, which includes, among other aspects, promoting a safe, inclusive and people-development-oriented working environment, aligning with the company’s sustainable growth objectives.
