At Noel, through La Fundació Albert Bosch, we are joining a new charitable initiative that brings together local roots, popular culture and social commitment. The Foundation has launched four puzzles inspired by Olot’s traditional festive figures —the giants, cavallets, cabeçuts and a fourth puzzle dedicated to El fichaje que nos falta, priced at €12 each. Proceeds will go towards the creation of a new research unit at the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute (VHIR), with the aim of accelerating the development of new drugs for paediatric oncology patients.

The initiative was inspired by Jordi Rubio’s farewell after 26 years performing with Olot’s traditional festive figures. He wanted to turn his final Festes del Tura into a charitable gesture for the city. “Initiatives like this allow us to bring together solidarity, local roots and popular culture with a very specific goal: advancing childhood cancer research. We are very grateful to Jordi for thinking of the Foundation at such a special moment in his journey, and to everyone who will support the initiative by purchasing the charity puzzles,” explains Cristina Sanz, Director of the Fundació Albert Bosch.

The project was officially presented on Thursday, 27 August, in Olot’s Plaça Major, at an event supported by Olot City Council through its Festivals Department. During the presentation, Councillor for Festivals Aniol Sellabona highlighted the potential success of an initiative that also has a charitable purpose, helping families with children who are fighting cancer.

The four 96-piece designs are already available at several shops in Olot, including Casa Baldiret, Mango, Mango Kids, Levi’s, Benetton, Integra, Pastisseria Ferrer, Llibreria Drac and Manxa, among other points of sale. At Noel, we encourage everyone to get involved in this initiative and, through the Fundació Albert Bosch, contribute to advancing childhood cancer research.

About the Fundació Albert Bosch

Founded in 2004, the Fundació Albert Bosch was created by Noel Alimentaria with the purpose of bringing the company’s values to society. Its mission is to contribute to people’s wellbeing and health throughout their lives and, for this reason, the Foundation promotes research into medical, biomedical and surgical solutions for childhood diseases, mainly cancer, the leading cause of death among children and adolescents aged five to fourteen in Catalonia. The Foundation is named after Albert Bosch Sala, in memory of one of Noel’s driving forces and the father of Anna Bosch Güell, the Foundation’s current President.
